Hi Brian

We've had to rebuild this site recently, due to a hacker destroying it - we may have overlooked some of the functions. We will reinstate the edit facility shortly - thanks for letting us know.

Had not heard BBC Three Counties had dropped Colin - what a shame. We will get in touch with Colin and find out what his plans are.

Keep up the good music cause with your fantastic website.

All the best

I thought that there was an 'edit' facility on these pages, but I can't find one.
I forgot to tell you that my website is http://mastersofmelody.co.uk/

Sadly, Colin Berry has been taken off Three Counties Radio, so presumably there will be no more light music 'specials'.

In the meantime, I am still adding programmes to my website. The latest include a 45 minute edition of 'Music While You Work' from Joseph Muscant and his Orchestra in one of their last programmes after nearly thirty years of broadcasting. Also, in the same series is Jack Coles and his Orchestre Moderne with some exquisite playing that has to be heard to be believed. If you think the two french horn players are good, they are Aubrey and Dennis Brain and they didn't come better than that!

Another helping of Colin Berry's "A Little Light Music" can be heard on BBC Three Counties Radio next Bank Holiday Monday, 4th of May between 5.00pm and 7.00pm. Or listen live on-line at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties/local_radio/
Some more light music gems guaranteed!

Thanks Paul.

I really enjoyed Colin's programme and thought it was an excellent.

As for myself, I present a radio programme to the patients and staff of Barnet Hospital in Hertfordshire every Thursday evening between 8 - 9pm.

The programme is a selection of light orchestral music, film soundtracks, television themes, Broadway and film musicals, and the best of the 'classic' vocalists from the American songbook Tin Pan Alley era.

With the exception of the vocalists, my programme is very much in the spirit of Colin's programme and the new UK Light Radio station.

This is music for a more sophicated audience, and I wish there was more of this type of music on the radio airwaves.

All the best

Hi Paul

Good to hear that you are broadcasting some light music each week - well done! If you want to send any details of your show/interests to us, we'd be happy to add an article to this site.

We are really looking forwad to Colin's show which we know will be a real treat for many of us who enjoy light music. We hope the BBC gives us more of this kind of show in the coming months.

All the best and thanks for supporting the Campaign For Real Music!

Hi. I totally agree. This music deserves to be heard by a wider audience I fully support your campaign.

Delighted to hear of this new programme that Colin Berry is going to present over the Easter holidays, I am only sad that I missed the 1st one which I believe was broadcast last December. If anyone has a recording of it I would be happy to buy a copy.

Good luck with your campaign. I myself broadcast a weekly radio programme for local hospital radio, and this is the music I play myself. It's brilliant music but sadly very underrated.

All the best
